Is a cruise about the ship or the destination? In our house, this has been a hot topic sparking many debates. Where did we land – “why not both?”

January 5–9, 2026, we’re throwing all our chips on the ship. Not just any ship—Utopia of the Seas.

Yes, we’ve sailed across Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships before – Allure and Wonder to be exact – but Utopia is serving up some fresh new twists that have us giddy with excitement. One of those twists is a specialty dining experience not seen on other ships.

Part train simulation, part dinner theater, and all kinds of fabulous. I imagine it as Old West meets Broadway, with dessert.

We’ve heard some fabulous reviews, so naturally, we quickly booked it and are now counting down the days. 135 days from today to be exact!

So, for this cruise? It’s not about the ports. It’s about the journey—and we hope that Utopia will live up to the hype and make it a cruise that we’ll want to revisit in the future.
