Putting It Down So I Don’t Forget

As parents, we love seeing our children hit certain milestones in their lives – the first time they roll-over, crawl, walk, talk, etc.  We glow with pride, clap and cheer at their accomplishments.

Then there are those milestones that make us stand, but don’t necessarily make us cheer.   For example, the milestone that causes your 2-year-old to stand in the middle of a restaurant and pull her pants off.  Yes, being able to pull your own pants off is a wonderful developmental milestone, but seriously Naomi, you don’t have to show all the other patrons in the restaurant that you can remove your clothing all by yourself.  It did cause mommy to stand quickly and I’m quite sure was entertaining for everyone in the restaurant, but let’s just practice that one at home.
