It was 4 years ago today that we received these pictures.
A tiny baby girl in need of a family and we were being asked to be her family.
We had expected to wait another 1-2 months, so opening my email on November 11, 2009 came as a big surprise.
Of course we said yes and 4 years later this is the beauty we see today.
That little baby has turned our lives upside down in wonderful ways.
Happy Naomiversary to our spunky, outspoken, beautiful, funny, silly, happy, smart, creative, and inspiring little girl!!!
…..and her Aunt Rhonda and Uncle Ron couldn’t be happier that you her into our family !!!
Okay, I’ll try again….. we couldn’t be happier that your BROUGHT her into our family !!!
She’s pretty fond of her Uncle Ron and Aunt Rhonda too!
We second that!! Hard to remember life pre-Naomi & Lili. But I do remember seeing that baby picture for the first time. She had extraordinary written all over her and I couldn’t wait to hold her and kiss those cheeks. Little did I know that being held was not on her ‘favorites’ list…
She craved being held as a baby. Can’t say I blamed her since she shared the attention of her nannies with several other babies in the orphanage. She still likes to be held, but only on her terms. Guess I should have added independent to the list 🙂
I remember you emailing me that you got your referral. I cried like we had just gotten our referral. So happy to have all of you in our lives and that our little Ethiopian princesses and prince are what started it all! Happy Naomiversary Weeks’ Family!!
I can remember the day we met and the wonderful impression Lili made on you 🙂 Four years later and our lives will forever be connected by our beautiful Ethiopian children. I’m proud and so very happy to call you my friend.
I cannot believe it has been 4 years! Where has the time gone? She is a beautiful young lady. I love getting to watch her grow. What a precious gift both girls are!
Not sure where time goes, but it does seem to fly by. It has been fun to watch your kids grow and change over the years as well.
