Blogiversary

Nineteen years ago, I began blogging about our adoption journey. After a few years I made the decision to get my own domain. It was pretty clear that the internet needed another blog and that is when WorldofWeeks.com was born.

Over the years I have written about a variety of topics – adoption, parenting, homeschooling, gardening, travel, cruising, ancestry, etc. – if it’s part of life in the World of Weeks, it might end up here. It started as a place to share about our adoption journey and morphed into my little time capsule. A place for my children and their children and their children’s children to read about our life. A glimpse of our world and a piece of their history to uncover.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since WorldofWeeks.com came into existence. A lot of life has happened in those years—some of which I’ve shared here, and much that I haven’t. Because let’s be honest: some things shouldn’t be shared, and there just aren’t enough hours in the day to write about every little detail. (Plus, who wants to read about laundry day?)

While I may not post as consistently as I’d like, I do plan to keep writing—hopefully for another 15 years. Afterall, I do need a place to vent about cruise packing lists and garden plants that refuse to cooperate.
