Our Sweet Lexie

Dr. Middleton called to let us know that Lexie was still in surgery.  However, they found a large tumor in her stomach that was growing into her small intestines.  To remove the tumor would require extensive surgery to reroute her intestines.  If she survived the surgery her long-term prognosis would not be good.  She recommended we go ahead and let her go while she’s still asleep and we agreed.  To put Lexie thru any more pain and discomfort would not be providing her the quality of life she deserves so we had to say good-bye to our sweet Lexie.  We are going to miss her terribly.

  4. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments. Our fuzzy babies have a way of burrowing their way into our hearts and saying good-bye is so very difficult. She will be missed terribly, but has left us with some wonderful memories.
