Feeling Sad When You’re Leaving

A good trip leaves you feeling sad when you’re leaving.

We were certainly sad to be leaving Fort Myers Beach on our most recent trip and that’s how we know it was a good trip.

The weather could have been better, but it wasn’t horrible, just a cloudy most of the week with a little rain. While I had hoped to see more sun, the beach just seems puts me in my happy place.

Each morning I would open the slider so we could hear the sound of the ocean and the waves crashing against the shore. It is such a soothing sound.

We enjoyed seeing the creative sand sculptures and tried our hand at one ourselves.

Not the best, but it was fun to spend time together and Arryn enjoyed collecting shells and placing them on our creation.

There were walks on the beach,

shopping,

visits to the pier,

and wonderful meals.

We were able to spend time with some good friends and when we did have a nice sunny day, they took us out on their boat with a stop for a dip in the Gulf.
