We’ve been having some crazy weather this year here in Illinois.

Our temperature patterns have been cooler than average followed by warmer than average, then back down to cooler than average, and it continues.

The rain has been above average this year and the storms WAY above average. 

Our average rainfall is around 4.1 inches, and we are currently at 5.15 inches this month.  Since it’s raining again today, that average is still rising. 

We are winning the “State with the most tornadoes” this year.  We’ve had 218 warnings and somewhere between 160-170 confirmed.  Our historical average is 64.

The weather was a short topic of conversation this morning while having breakfast. 

Hubby – Can you believe it’s almost July and this is the weather?
Me – Thanks El Niño!
Arryn – Who is he?!

I think it’s time for a more in-depth study on weather.
