Waiting for the perfect moment is procrastination at its finest. Yes, I will agree that in some situations, there are moments that may be better than others, but when it comes to weight loss and health, I am learning that it’s up to me to make the moment perfect. After all this is my health and my life at stake. And believe me, I’ve spent years procrastinating on becoming a healthier me.
As most of you know, I started making changes. One of the changes I made was to begin the ViSalus plan, known as Body by Vi. Twenty-two lbs lighter, I’m still moving forward and hoping to be down another 12-15 lbs when I go to Chicago in March for my girl’s Pink concert weekend. I’m trying hard to rely less on the scale and much more on my body. Listening to my body is something that I really have to work on and I can’t rely on the scale to let me know if I’m making healthy choices from day-to-day.
My body is telling me that I need to create the perfect time to incorporate some exercise into my life. More walking, yoga, kettle bells, and just more movement in general. I don’t want to just see the numbers go down on the scale and my clothing sizes (those things are definitely good), but I need to see improvement in my overall health – more energy, more muscle tone, good heart rate, better concentration – I think you get the picture.

My hubby joined me and is now down 6 lbs. It’s great having others be part of a team for support and encouragement along the way.
It’s a new year with lots of new opportunity to create perfect moments in my life. I hope you will seize the opportunity to create those perfect moments for yourself as well.
