Lili woke up early this morning, wanting to know if Santa had arrived. She was trying hard to patiently wait for Naomi to wake up, not able to lie still and wanting to talk. None of us knowing exactly when Naomi will finally begin to stir, I asked Lili if she wanted to wake Naomi.Continue reading “Ending Christmas Day”

Visiting Santa
A couple of years ago we were at Bass Pro Shop to do some shopping. The Bass Pro Shop in our area hadn’t been open long and we were not aware they had Santa’s Wonderland during the Christmas holiday. Since we were there and the line to see Santa was so short, we decided toContinue reading “Visiting Santa”
Snow, Thru the Eyes of a Child
It began snowing early evening yesterday and as the sun went down, the snow continued. We watched the snow falling, sparkling in the glow of the street lights. Slowly, it began to cover everything in a blanket of white. When we awoke this morning, we peeked outside and saw our winter wonderland. Everything covered inContinue reading “Snow, Thru the Eyes of a Child”
A New Holiday Tradition
Unlike me, hubby was an avid reader when we got married. It was one good example of how much our upbringing effected us. Books were a big thing in his house, not so much in mine. Yet, his love of books rubbed off on me. Eventually, I began to read more and developed an appreciationContinue reading “A New Holiday Tradition”
First Snow Excitement
The snow began around dinnertime. There wasn’t much accumulation expected, but the girls were still excited and couldn’t wait until morning when they could go outside and enjoy the very first snow of the season. Before breakfast, they were dressed and bundled up for some snowy fun. Naomi was hopeful that they could create somethingContinue reading “First Snow Excitement”
4 Years
It was 4 years ago today that we received these pictures. A tiny baby girl in need of a family and we were being asked to be her family. We had expected to wait another 1-2 months, so opening my email on November 11, 2009 came as a big surprise. Of course we said yes andContinue reading “4 Years”
Trouble Now
My youngest, Naomi, loves to sing along with P!NK and for quite some time would sing “Trouble.” She doesn’t know all the words to this song. Actually, the only part of the song she knows at all and sings over and over again is, “Trouble now, I’m trouble now.” (For those who haven’t heard theContinue reading “Trouble Now”
My Cupcake Cutie and Mismatched Witch
Wish you a safe, fun and bewitching Halloween. Now, for your viewing pleasure, all my attempts to capture the perfect picture of my two little trick-or-treaters!
It Only Took a Few Minutes
I left them alone to play for a few minutes while I got some laundry going. When I returned, this is what I found. Sidewalk chalk just isn’t for sidewalks anymore!!!
Scissors and a 4-Year-old
One of the things I’m working on with Naomi this year are her scissor skills. She is doing pre-school work and learning good scissor skills is part of most pre-school programs. Cutting with scissors allows her to work on her fine motor skills. Plus, cutting with scissors is great fun!!! Apparently, she is feeling confident inContinue reading “Scissors and a 4-Year-old”
