We have our seedlings started and if that wasn’t enough to build my excitement level, this certainly took it to new heights.

A local heavy machinery retailer advertised pallets for sale so we headed over to get some.  Instead we left with these two awesome boxes.  All it took was few cuts with the jigsaw, some chicken wire, hinges, a wood frame lid and drilling some holes in the bottom.  Now we are the proud owners of compost bins!!

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to dump my box of collected leaves, twigs, kitchen scraps and coffee grounds into the compost bin.  I even own a pitch fork for turning my compost!!!!!

Am I the only one who gets excited about compost?

This has to make me a real gardener now!!!!
