Another school year is upon us.
Honestly, it feels a bit different this year. Normally, we school year-round. By continuing to school during the summer months, we can take trips during the off seasons which saves us money.
This year, I made the decision to switch things up a bit by trying a different curriculum for my two youngest. Neither of them do well sitting for long periods of time and both (especially the youngest) need movement and outdoor time. I had heard many homeschoolers talk about Blossom & Root so I did my research and decided to give it a go.
I have now spent the last couple of days letting everything else go around the house while I prepare to tackle a new school year with new curriculum. I’m hopeful that it will work well for them.
Another big change is having another college student. Our 17-yr-old registered for her first college class and will be doing dual enrollment at our local community college. Unfortunately, she was not as decisive about going to college as our oldest daughter and this left her with few class options. She will be taking Eng 101 beginning next week and hopefully has a good semester.
